Our Story

We Started Because the Alternative Was Not Good Enough

Most families come to home care at a bad moment. A fall, a diagnosis, a hospital discharge with a page of instructions and nobody to follow them. The options put in front of them are usually a facility they cannot afford or a phone number for an agency that treats their parent as a scheduling problem.

Embracing Home Care was built to be the third option. We are small on purpose. A coordinator here knows your parent’s routine, which caregiver clicked with them, and what changed last month. That is not a feature we bolt on. It is the reason the agency exists.

We serve Seminole and Orange County from our office on Montgomery Road in Altamonte Springs, and we hire caregivers who live in the communities they serve.

What We Believe

Four Commitments We Do Not Bend On

Dignity is not optional

Bathing, toileting and dressing are intimate. Our caregivers are trained to protect privacy and to move at the client's pace, not the clock's.

Consistency over convenience

It is easier for an agency to send whoever is free. We schedule the harder way, keeping the same caregiver with the same client.

Say the true thing

If home care is not the right answer, or if you need more help than we can safely provide, we will tell you and point you somewhere better.

Family in the loop

Adult children are often three states away. We keep you informed about what changed, what worked and what worries us.

How Someone Earns a Place in Your Parent's Home

Hiring is where an agency either protects your family or fails it. Our process is deliberately slow.

Every applicant clears Florida Level 2 fingerprint background screening. We verify certifications and references directly rather than taking a resume at face value. We assess practical skills, including transfers and personal care technique. And we interview for temperament, because patience cannot be trained into someone in a week.

Once hired, caregivers carry our liability insurance and workers compensation. If someone is injured in your home, that is our responsibility, not yours.
